Unloading is physically the hardest part of a DIY move because you have already spent a full day loading and driving. Our crews arrive fresh and work efficiently. They unload systematically from front to back, carrying items directly to the rooms you designate. Furniture is reassembled on the spot — beds put together, desks reconstructed, shelving units erected. Boxes go into their labeled rooms. Mattresses are placed on reassembled bed frames. At the end, your truck is empty and your home has everything in roughly the right place, ready for you to unpack at your own pace. Our crew brings their own dollies, straps, and tools for furniture reassembly, so you do not need to purchase or rent any additional equipment. Truck unloading pricing is hourly with a 2-hour minimum. Crew size depends on the truck size and load volume. A 10-16 ft truck typically needs a 2-person crew. A 20-26 ft truck may require 3-4 people. All equipment and furniture reassembly is included in the hourly rate. You pay only for time worked.
Yes. Provide your estimated arrival time and our crew will be waiting. If your drive takes longer than expected, update the arrival time in the app and we will adjust — no penalty for reasonable time changes.
Yes. Beds, desks, bookshelves, dining tables, and other furniture that was disassembled for the move is reassembled at the destination. We bring standard tools for all common furniture hardware.
It helps to be available to point out which room each item goes to. If your boxes are labeled by room, the crew can self-direct for most of the unloading. Large furniture pieces should be directed personally.
Our coverage applies to damage caused during unloading. Pre-existing damage from loading or transit is not covered by our service. We recommend documenting the truck contents before the drive.
Our service covers the physical unloading. Returning the rental truck is your responsibility. However, many rental companies allow drop-off at nearby locations so you can drive it back quickly after we finish.
Place colored tape or stickers on doorframes of each room at the new home with the room name — this lets the crew self-direct box placement without constant direction from you
Have a clear path from the truck to the front door and through the house before the crew starts — open all doors, clear hallways, and remove any trip hazards
