Donation pickup is the bridge between your desire to give back and the logistical reality of getting large, heavy items to a charity. Most donation centers accept drop-offs, but getting a sofa, dining set, or bedroom furniture into your vehicle and to the center is the hard part. NEM donation pickup solves this by sending a crew to your home, carrying items out from any room or floor, loading them onto our truck, and delivering them to verified local charities and donation centers. We work with major national organizations — Goodwill, Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity ReStore — as well as local nonprofits in each city. The crew handles everything from single-item pickups (a sofa, a mattress, a desk) to full-home donation cleanouts where multiple rooms of furniture, clothing, kitchenware, and household goods are all going to charity. Items must be in donatable condition — clean, functional, and not damaged beyond use. Charities have standards for what they accept, and our team can advise on what qualifies during the pickup. For tax deduction purposes, the receiving charity provides the donation receipt. We ensure delivery to the organization and can provide confirmation of drop-off. This service is popular during moves, estate handling, and home renovations where functional items would otherwise be trashed.
Donation pickup pricing is based on volume and distance to the donation center. A single large item (sofa, mattress) is at the base rate. Multi-item pickups are priced per additional item with volume discounts. Full-home donation cleanouts are quoted based on total scope. The price covers all labor, transport, and delivery to the charity.
Most charities accept clean, functional furniture, clothing, small appliances, kitchenware, linens, books, and electronics. Items must work properly and be free of stains, tears, and damage. Mattresses are accepted by some but not all organizations.
The receiving charity provides the tax-deductible receipt, not NEM. We deliver your items to the organization, and they issue a receipt based on their valuation. We provide delivery confirmation for your records.
Yes. If you have a preferred organization, provide their name and location during booking. We deliver to any verified charity. If you have no preference, we select the closest partner organization.
If certain items don't meet the charity's acceptance standards, our crew contacts you for direction. We can take rejected items to a recycling facility or return them to your home. Standard disposal fees apply for non-donated items.
Yes. Our crew sorts donatable items from non-donatable items. Donations go to the charity and trash/recyclables go to appropriate facilities. Just let the crew know which items are for donation and which are for disposal.
